This tour begins with a visit to the Museum of Anthropology of San Pedro Sula where you will get a glimpse of the life in the valley of Sula from Pre-Columbian times to today. After the tour, we will visit a local market called "Guamilito" (an excellent shopping opportunity). Then our tour wll take you into the banana plantations, located just east of the city, where you will see the process of growing and harvesting bananas, up to the point of being ready to be shipped overseas. The plantation visited is owned and operated by the Tela Railroad Co. Afterwards, we will proceed to the city of El Progreso, where you will visit a mahogany wood carving facility, here you will be able to obseve how the wood is carved and you can purchase products made right here.
